Description: The subject's gestational age at birth (i.e. the time from the first day of the mother's last menstrual period to birth). The notation "39 + 6 days" is converted into a floating-point number when adding the data to the database. This field is used to automatically assign the birth_term_status. Note that a few studies contain a gestational_age_weeks that represents the subject's actual age at the time of sampling.
