CTR– control subject in a clinical study. Usually healthycontrol patient– a control subject in a clinical study with an unspecified disease that served as the control for the particular disease studiedCOHORT– a more or less random subsample of the general population. This means that subjects may have a variety of medical conditions, but should be relatively healthy.- Any specific disease.
Description: Status of the patients with regards to health or disease.
In some cases, papers also report comorbidities. For this field, we try to identify the most salient disease. The full disease status can be found in the extended metadata field subject_disease_status_full, when applicable. We also internally add ICD-11 codes, but these are often not a 1:1 match and are more used to categorize the diseases for
interactive browsing on the website.
This field only captures the disease, but not response to treatment.
